That's the way it can be. Though there are many that keep it lean and mean. Some for hardware constraints (older machines), some for speed improvements on later hardware. For instance it runs on my single-core Atom (HT) at 32 bit quite well. MX runs pretty fair also. But I default to antiX on the Netbook.
But you can make antiX on your own a very custom machine. It also is easily switched to a debian testing OS for those who want to test a mostly debian machine.

Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.

This has me confused. I gather the install regionalised my repos to NZ which is fine and is set the same with Repo Manager in MX-15, but am I being asked for a code here?
This came up previously. One item is non-free (using Package Installer here), along with Google Earth, Lyx etc etc

Oh, righto :) I was unsure if the installs were successful and had just closed it previously. Kind thanks. Mickdolphin_oracle wrote:its old terminology. just hit enter to exit (or close the window with ALT+F4).
(Am working on a 'utility knife' to run from a Live USB eventually, for experience)
