conky does not update after reboot

#1 Post by s19 »

Hi,

I'm new on Antix 13.2, with a few years experience in linux (Ubuntu, XUbuntu, Mint)

On a antic computer (HP Pavilion zv6000), all is working fine (especialy wifi !) but I've a problem when I change conky parameters :
If I use the command :

Code: Select all

conky restart
all is fine, on the active desktop, but not on other ones...

When I restart, it's the old conky which is used, until I use the same command.

So my conky is saved, but not used as default.

What must I do ?

(ps : sorry I'm french...)

In 13.2, the icewm desktop (the default) uses a different conky file. what you want to do is edit the icewm startup file to point to the regular conky configuration file (home/user/.conkyrc) instead of the special icewm version.

when you do the conky restart, its the regular .conkyrc file that is being used. but when you reboot, the special icewm version is being used.

This little hiccup is fixed in next version of antix (antix15, currently in beta).
