Shared Folders issue.

I've had the same problem. I also cannot explain the lack of consistency. I find the downloaded .deb to be less hassle most of the time. I do recommend that you close VB before installing.

My last deb download added the virtualbox repo. So I now get timely upgrades.

I have the repository but it's not enabled. It's there if I need it.

I leave it enable because I like to be informed when the upgrade becomes available to me. I do get the email notifications also.
