Time tracking

#1 Post by Jerry3904 »

I have been looking around for some time to find good software that is more complete than gtimer (in the repos) yet not as complicated as many of the enterprise apps. I have finally found it: timeslottracker. It is maintained, very configurable (I set the layout to GTK+), downloads as a deb, inserts a handy icon into the Notification Area, has some documentation, and has many features that I can use for personal and business projects. Space bar stops and starts timing. I am just setting it up now, see pic.

If you are *in the market* I recommend giving it a try. After a bit of testing, it might also be good to bring into our repo...
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox and Windows 10
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

Sounds great for people who use this kind of thing, would it be possible to add this to test repo at least?

Further testing: not perfect, number of small annoyances.

Never looked at, but he certainly knows how to code. Have downloaded and installed it (and got along with it an update on our Peg-E, BTW), and will look at it tomorrow. It is much simpler than timeslottracker, so really probably competes (and wins) against gtimer.

Thanks.

Have used it now, and it is terrific. A little bit of documentation would be useful, but you can figure things out pretty quickly. Am going to request this.
