Have you written the iso file (found in /home/snapshot ) into USB? Use live-USB-maker in MX Tools to do so.Herve83 wrote:Good evening to all, and Happy New Year !

After you do and boot from the USB stick you will see the Install icon on the desktop of THAT live running stick.

Personal snapshots I have made do not have the icon on the desktop. As DO said you run minstall from the cli.asqwerth wrote:Have you written the iso file (found in /home/snapshot ) into USB? Use live-USB-maker in MX Tools to do so.Herve83 wrote:Good evening to all, and Happy New Year !

Thank you all is ok
Re: Iso snapchot how to reinstall
Hmm. I could have sworn that the personal snapshot I made of MX15 last year had the install icon on the desktop. But that could be because I wrote it onto a multiboot USB stick with ez2boot. MX's old create-live-usb tool didn't work for me.richb wrote:Personal snapshots I have made do not have the icon on the desktop. I remember because I used this snapshot (made on my desktop PC) to install MX15 over the MX14 partition on my laptop.

Re: Iso snapchot how to reinstall
I installed a personal snapshot recently, via a live USB. It was installed using the desktop icon.

Re: Iso snapchot how to reinstall
Not sure what the difference is then. Maybe I also had persistence enabled. Perhaps DO or Bitjam can shed some light on this. In any case minstall from CLI is always available.tascoast wrote:I installed a personal snapshot recently, via a live USB. It was installed using the desktop icon.

Also: please post either in the French forum (where a solution was also provided) or here, but not both (l'un ou l'autre, mais pas tous les deux).Seadog wrote:@Herve83, if your issue is solved, please mark the thread by adding [Solved] to the Title/Subject
