Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
Celluloid is a successor of Gnome MPV, hope it can be added to repos.

Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
Hmmm--Debian doesn't have it yet.
Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
Can Ubuntu package be used?
Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
I see you removed your newcomer avatar, which states, "No PPAs".
It was assigned by default to forum newcomers for a reason. MX is not Ubuntu.

Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
I know, what I wanted to ask is can Ubuntu .deb package be added to out repos?
Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
Same issue. .deb is just a packaging format. But what's inside, the libraries and dependencies, may be different for Debian and Ubuntu. And which version of Ubuntu are you trying to compare with MX18?

Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
I'm not very familiar with latest Ubuntu versions, came to MX from Solus. So we're waiting for Debian to add Celluloid to their repos, only for stable branch or Sid is okay too?
Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
Provide more details (links) of where you found this deb file from Ubuntu, and post as many details here as possible. My gut feel is that it may be too new to run on Debian Stretch (MX18) as is, due to conflicting dependencies.
It will then be up to the packaging team to assess if it's possible to rebuild the package to work with MX18's older dependencies.
Sid = Debian Unstable. Even if it came to Sid, the team will have to assess if rebuilding for Stable is possible.

Re: Celluloid, formerly known as Gnome MPV
For what it's worth, I installed the amd64 .deb from here > https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/am ... v/download
It installed ok with Gdebi with all dependencies met. It's running without any signs of problems so far.
