Can you try this one? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1df8ve ... 9EEQhuOoAz
I took at the Arch AUR PKGBUILD file, and they just download the tar.xz file from the github release assets to get their source, so I tried that this time.

Thanks! Apparently starts o.k., but GDebi outputs a lot of Lintian issues:Stevo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 5:43 pm Can you try this one? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1df8ve ... 9EEQhuOoAz

Darned if I know. Seems benign, though. Can you actually find and get/play any content with it now?MX-16_fan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 6:51 pm @Stevo:

Re: MX-18.1 package request: "Tribler"
Tribler developer here. These warnings can safely be ignored and should not affect the functionality of Tribler. We also see these warnings when building our Debian release and we have some thorough application tests that test Tribler on Debian-based distributions. We should address these warnings one day actually, but this is not a very pressing issue for now.
Please let me know whether Tribler works correctly on mx linux. If not, we might be able to help with this.

Re: MX-18.1 package request: "Tribler"
@Stevo:
Just noticed that Tribler is now available for further testing via the MX Test Repo. Are you sure that you uploaded the latest version you had built?
I'm asking this because when I use the version from the MX Test Repo, I'm once again getting two orange-colored rack-wheels and "Loading...", which never stops. With that version, Tribler doesn't have a proper icon in the xfce4-panel either. Didn't have those issues with the version you uploaded on your Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1df8ve ... 9EEQhuOoAz.

Re: MX-18.1 package request: "Tribler"
No, the test repo version is still the first build, mx17+1. I'll send the working mx17+2 link to Tim.

@Stevo,

Just saw that Tribler is now available for further testing via the MX Test Repo.
Thanks so much for your help.
@devos50:
I just noticed that Tribler doesn't get a proper icon in the xfce4-panel (tested on MX-17.1). Maybe this is due to the issue with the deprecated menu file (see viewtopic.php?p=512442#p512442)? Maybe you'd like to have a look at this on a source code basis.
@all:
Non-package-related issues can be reported on GitHub (https://github.com/Tribler/tribler/issues), or be discussed with the developers on the project's IRC channel (https://irc-source.com/channel/freenode/%23tribler).
I'll mark this thread "SOLVED".
Greetings, and a nice weekend to all of you, Joe
