Thunar 1.8.3

#1 Post by Khaled »

Thunar had an old bug (the bug is way older than this report) where when you mount a usb drive and unmount it using thunar, the next times when you mount the same drive Thunar will present it like if it was owned by root (while it is actually not if you checked its directory with ls -d) and therefore refuse to let you create or paste files into it.
This bug was recently fixed and released 1.8.3 with that fix.
This release is not yet approved into debian stable, but testing has already the last release (1.8.4-1).
I thought of trying to install it on my system, since I don't see unmet dependencies, other than a handful of related packages that I can replace by the way. But decided to hold on until I ask whether it is scheduled to be ported into MX soon, so I could be much assured.
Thank you.
