MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
Oh, they did remove the ability to open an rss feed as a web page, but they did say they were going to do that to be like every other big browser. I guess Pale Moon and SeaMoney can still do that, though.

Hello,
Maybe Firefox MX tweaks could be improved by removing the browser update/download notification.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
That caught me by surprise, too. Switching to 60-esr restores the functionality for another 10 months or so, but still...

That looks like it could be added to our "distribution.ini" configuration file.zorzi wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 5:29 am Hello,

Reading the following thread, I understand that update notification can only be disabled via policies.json

Our distribution.ini file already disables the update nag, as far as I know. The user can turn it back on manually.zorzi wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 3:33 amWhere's the distribution.ini file stored ?Stevo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 4:04 pmThat looks like it could be added to our "distribution.ini" configuration file.zorzi wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 5:29 am Hello,

Though maybe that's just the update, and not the nag. From about:config Menu
Type “about:config” in the address bar, then press “Enter“.
Search for the “app.update.auto” setting.
Double-click the “app.update.auto” option to toggle the setting. If set to “true“, automatic updates are enabled. If set to “false“, automatic updates are disabled.
