Understand all that - did read all the caveats, as stated earlier, and like the member who built the respin as an unofficial project, my report was
tendered in the same spirit - perhaps the criticism was a little harsh, but how else will we improve our lot, unless we are brutally honest with

That is not governed by MX standards since it is a Community respin, not an official release. From the Wiki:

This page provides access to Community remasterings of antiX and antiX MX. I am not being misleading. I am being factual that you need to check.

If you did not: that could be the cause of your issues. With a failed match things might still work just peachy to the naked eye, but cause all sorts of problems.

You appear to believe that md5sum et al, is the root of all evil, it is not - no even close
My interest in the respin that I tested previously was merely academic - try it yourself
We have successfully deployed 'my respin' over say 30x workstations, und counting
If it aint broke, why fix it - have since deleted that faulty respin .... over-and-out

If you have a better respin, by all means please put it up so others can enjoy it!

For installing debs on KDE, I recommend using our kde-servicemenu-checkhash-installdebs package instead, not least because it can install multiple debs at once from Dolphin or Konqueror.

My KDE respin is actually a snapshot of our entire system that we have deployed across our corporate network, globally

It contains all kinds of date etc, that we dont want out in the wilds - the snapshot started out about a year ago, which
is when I added KDE via your MX Package Installer - went thru the normal checks & balances, hardened it,& moved on.

No rocket science here - just simply stayed within the bounds of sane judgement and logic - the MX QC is outstanding
Anybody can do this - preferably using the latest iso + upgrades, via your local repos - KDE is say a 250Meg upgrade

Again - my interest in the subject respin was purely academic, notwithstanding the md5sum curve-ball, y'all
