[RESOLVED]vlc updates today
[RESOLVED]vlc updates today
Some vlc updates from debian are being offered today: I suspect they are not good for MX.
I have not accepted them and suggest no MX user should accept them.

Re: vlc updates today
The updates offered by debian appear to mess up the MX vlc installation.

Re: vlc updates today
I accepted that update today, and have no issues. It was primarily a security update, so unless there is a good reason that so far id unidentified, updating seems a good idea to me.

Re: vlc updates today
I accepted today's updates and VLC has no issues running on my system after the upgrade at all. Instead of spreading FUD, if you're having an issue with VLC on your system post-upgrade please post a proper help request.
Please read the Forum Rules, How To Ask For Help, How to Break Your System and Don't Break Debian. Always include your full Quick System Info (QSI) with each and every new help request.

Don't know what could be wrong with my system that causes it to reject debian's update.

Please post the output of MX Tools, Quick System Info so we can take a look.
Also post the history output (you can find that in synaptic with a bit of looking) of what you just upgraded
