Re: Seems to be no sources.list in /etc/ folder
Makes sense, that Ubuntu features won't make it to MX since MX is Debian based. Just didn't realize PPA was an Ubuntu thing.asqwerth wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 1:21 pm
MX is not Ubuntu. "DIstribution template" - MX won't be on any list of Ubuntu distributions?

Yep, I've already gone through the manual addition of the repo and installed just fine. Since MX is based on Debian, I follow Debian install instructions (e.g. https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/debian/).fehlix wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 2:11 pm Have you seen this: How To Install Docker in MX Linux
Any question, let us know.
With add-apt-repository being a staple of repo-based installations on Debian, I'm surprised this isn't identified as a bug for MX. That's all.
Still confuses me why the add-apt-repository binary doesn't work to add any repository on MX because /etc/apt/sources.list is missing. Then why is that binary included? Perhaps I did something wrong?
Anyway, MX still rocks. Just nit-picking.

It's in the Debian repo, that's all. Lots of stuff is...Then why is that binary included?
