Video: Reconfigure root Thunar Custom actions

#1 Post by dolphin_oracle »

making thunar always ask for a password with the root level thunar custom actions (right click commands)

hint: add "gnome-keyring-daemon -r -d; to any root command you want to change.

That was great as usual, D_O. Something new learnt today. Will use that on the root ownership RC action.

It got me watching your video on antix cli apps after that. Very fascinating.

In one of my other distros, I use pmrp for Internet radio and moc for playing my music files. It started as an experiment but - not sure if I'm imagining it - the sound actually sounds more hi fidelity played through these apps compared to GUI music players.

I got interested through our v3g4n, who had a nice conky panel bar in his MX15 + i3 system that displayed his music playing in mpd.

I tried but could never get mpd running in MX15. PM'ed him for help and everything. Gave up on mpd, explored a little more and found moc much easier to set up.

Thank You dolphin_oracle

This is why MX was one of only TWO Linux Distro's I picked out for mention in 2017.

The Dev Team behind MS and the Community really care about user's concerns and provide simple effective solutions to those concerns raised.

I will be sure to mention this in the Destination Linux Podcast in the New Year (we recorded the last one of 2017 yesterday) to Hi-light that user focus.

Once again - Thank You :)

Regards Zeb...
