Enlightenment WM
Enlightenment WM
I see that Enlightenment 0.22.1-3 is in stable repo. Has anyone tried this in MX? If so I'd love to hear the good and the bad...

Re: Enlightenment WM
The same 0.22.1 version has been in our MX 17/18 main repo for quite a few months now: https://repology.org/project/enlightenment/versions
Debian Stretch's version didn't work at all, in fact, which is one reason we moved 22.1 to our main repo.

It performed fine when I installed and tested it. I liked the desktop setup wizard it ran if you were a first time user; I wish XFCE/MX had something similar, in fact.

Re: Enlightenment WM
I didn't want to chance hosing my desktop puter, so I installed it on my laptop using MXPI.
Yes. I found that interesting as well. I happened across enlightenment years ago, but it seems a different animal today. It isn't near as fast as xfce, but has a sort of gracefullness to it. I'll keep it on my laptop for a while, cause it's going to take time to learn and navigate the differences between it and xfce.I liked the desktop setup wizard it ran if you were a first time user; I wish XFCE/MX had something similar, in fact.

Re: Enlightenment WM
The first thing I try to adjust with this laptop is the display because it's 3840x2160, and hard as #$% to see. I brought it down to 1920x1080. I also noticed the display dialog has setting to scale the screen also. The resolution change set the scale to 1.7. Now I can now use MX on my laptop.

and another setting to change scaling seperately
