Mesa driver

#1 Post by lekkermx »

If I updated the mesa driver from the MX testing repository and it does't go well, how to I roll back to the older version?

I just have a little ripple effect using the Mesa 18.2.6 version, which is a least stable enough.

I find the quickest way is to use aptitude and its multiple solution feature to install one of Mesa's -dev packages, like

Code: Select all

sudo aptitude install libgl1-mesa-dev
If it says it can't for some reason, hit the "N" key to have it try another solution. The solution you want to accept is one that downgrades some Mesa packages to the stock 18.26 MX version without removing anything.
