"Remember Login" password not saving?

#1 Post by Richard »

I've noticed in the last few days that I must login every day.
Has something changed with the Login function?
I check Save or Remember but it doesn't.
Anyone else seeing this?

It doesn't survive a reboot.

Well, apparently no one else has this problem
of being forced to sign in to the forum every day.

Must be just me.

It looks like it. Can you post the contents of /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.

Does lightdm have any connection with Forum login? I always have needed to login to the forum. There was no intentional change.

EDIT: Nevermind. Misread the OP's post.

No it isn't. I just thought it was only my problem.
Apologies Jerry, didn't mean to cut you off.

I thought it was just the way it is setup.
Didn't used to act this way.

I think it is a problem with either Slimjet or my configuration of the forum.
There is a page on managing Remember Login,
http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/ucp.php ... login_keys
but I really think it is Slimjet but could be wrong.

At any rate, login to forum, check remember me,
close slimjet, open slimjet and still logged in.

Reboot and the forum doesn't remember me?
Repeated this sequence with same result.

I suppose I need to create a shorter password. :)

I really don't know what happened, but running Firefox ESR and everything works as exected?
Perhaps the integration with Chrome-Google is broken a bit in Slimjet.
Maybe it's just time to go back to Firefox. :)

Thanks for the tips.
I looked through the LightDM.donf but haven't noticed anything that might cause my login problem.
@Jerry3904, did you see anything or have any ideas?
