They are not in the list of BBCodes provided above the text entry field, but I attempted to use the basic BBCode
[spoiler]some text[/spoiler]
They do not seem to show up when selecting the "Preview" option at least.
Does this or a similar BBCode / function exist on the forum to increase the readability of longer posts?

The only special BBC codes that are activated are:
align=
font=
And the other standard ones in the tabs above the edit box.
