Mark forums read in "unread posts" view

#1 Post by Adrian »

I browse the forum in "unread posts" view most of the time, it would be nice to have the "Mark forums read" link in that view too. I think it makes sense to have it there then having to go to Board Index to mark the forums read. I'm not sure if the site software allows this kind of customization... hope it does.

Not without delving into the code which at this point is not an option.

Not going to happen any time soon, if at all. Webmaster is buried in work, and that feature was not even available in the last version we used, right?

I asked wondering if there's an easy way to implement it, like a simple checkbox. Obviously I don't know anything about the forum software if it's not very simple to do then I don't think it's worth it.

Although frankly it baffles me why this option is not available in the forum software, from usability point of view it makes complete sense to have a "mark forum as read" in the "view unread posts" view -- it like having an webmail that has "mark email as read" that you can access only by browsing a specific view, that would not be available from inbox or from the mail view itself.

That feature is available NOW. Look below and to the right of "Unread posts."
