Re: Drive Has Only Root Access
NTFS unknown sometimes crops up in an install, rather than ntfs -3g,. This is easily fixed in Disk Manager by changing the file system type. This issue is usually noticed when a partition/drive is having permission problems.

Re: MX21 : List of Issues after fresh Install:
Posting the output of Quick System Info is the most important step, as this allows others to know what version of MX you are experiencing issues with, along with details of the specific hardware the install is running on.

Re: How to mount USB external storage drive? [Solved]
Running the quick system info tool in MX automatically copies the text to the clipboard. You should only need to then go to the MX Forum post and paste the clipboard contents between <Code> tags, as recommended in forum rules and tips. *Disk Manager is also available via MX Package Manager, which mi...

Re: Hearing Aid question
As per some of Eadwine's comments and in addition: Audiologist is essential to tune to your needs, after they do a series of hearing tests to map your frequency losses. In the ear is more about cosmetic look than actual usefulness in my understanding, while they also block more natural sounds that a...

Re: Hearing Aid question
I am fortunate to qualify for Govt. scheme and get a Signia brand, a subset of Seimens I believe. I paid extra (a bit actually) for the bluetooth kit, a separate neck worn transmitter, although newer aids are increasingly in-built. This is so for the Cochlear version my father uses, although he does...

Re: Dual Boot Windows 11 and MX Linux 21
I take this to mean Win10 and 11 require (and as such you have yourself the following hardware configuration, by necessity), two Hard Disks/SSDs to exist if wanting to dual boot with Linux, with a Linix install being located on the non-W10/11 internal Disk? Also, that you can readily manage Grub by ...

Re: MX-21 timezone issue [Solved]
I think swapping to Local in Timezone settings actually sorted things, but only after a couple of reboots. It's possible booting into MX-19 and back contributed, besided completing updates etc.. I usually only need a bit of tinkering for timezone with a Live USB persist system, and previous instruct...

Re: MX-21 timezone issue [Solved]
I'll definitely change mirrors as I usually do, with an LA or Salt Lake being my usual selection from experience. Poor old Aussie servers haven't been reliable for me over recent years, so easy done. It's still nice that repo manager does default to a geographically local mirror, or one that promise...

MX-21 timezone issue [Solved]
I've repeated an install of MX-21, downloading the iso again by torrent the second time. Choosing Australian/Melbourne for timezone I get the same issue, the clock showing 11 hours out. Apart from this, I'm wondering if daylight savings time is also not registering, a secondary issue worth noting, a...

Re: MX-21 fluxbox beta 2 feedback thread
Nobody else has reported this, so you might might want to check your graphic settings. Post back QSI if you want specific attention from us. Will do, I did intend the above for the corresponding xfce feedback but misread such fast moving happenings in posting....I'll give live persist a whirl in th...
