MD5 link malformed on Blog page

On the MX-23.2 Blog announcement, the link to download the MD5 for Fluxbox_x64 should be: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mx-linux/files/Final/Fluxbox/MX-23.2_fluxbox__x64.iso.md5/download but it fails, showing the file as unavailable. The URL in the error message has two full stops instead of an u...

Recently read where Asus is taking over from Intel...
That would be a good result.

Re: Looking for a Mini PC

I've used Intel NUCs with MX Linux and they run great. I've tried various generations of i5 CPUs. They use about 50% of the energy of a typical desktop machine.

Intel are phasing them out, which seems odd.

Re: Official Raspberry Pi Respin

I got my Pi 4 w/ 4 GB RAM performance increased with a left over Samsung sata 250 GB SSD. Now booting from the SSD. Bought a sata to USB 3 adapter and it's a definite improvement over an sd card! Increased the swap file to 2 GB to compensate for lower RAM. So far the SSD is holding out as it's at l...

Re: Video DownloadHelper Companion App not working in firefox

I went about it slightly differently.
I downloaded the tar.bz2 file, extracted it, then followed the Readme in the extracted folder. You install it with:

Code: Select all

./vdhcoapp install
I've done this on two machines without any problems.

Re: Panel: clock: double click

Thank you. k20240107-155819.png OK, then I guess when you right click on the clock and choose "property" then you will have an entry in the "Calendar field"? Do you? What entry exactly? The entry is orage. I suspect you may have a few problems to solve when re-using Home. Chris

Re: Panel: clock: double click

I am currently upgrading from MX-19 (Xfce) to MX-23 (xfce) by keeping the old Home. Could someone who is already using MX-23 tell me what happens when you double click on the clock in the panel. In MX-19 Xfce "Orage" opened this way. Does this also happen in MX-23 Xfce? I would be pleased...

Re: MX-23 Rpi Respin -- Beta testing

I've realised what I do that produces a different result with the Chromium keyring issue. I elect to 'Continue' without entering a password, then confirm that action. On subsequent boots I no longer get the keyring prompt. I realise that this could be considered a security risk, but I guess most use...
