Re: ultracopier crash
@Stevo, @PeterO: (...) Since last I have tested Ultracopier on 4 different laptops (3 with MX19 1 with MX18), all gives the same result: - Not possible to start from the Whisker menu - starting from Command Line just give endless amount of messages, which may be said to be "error messages"...

Re: ultracopier crash
@Stevo, @richb: I built the latest 1.6.1.5 release and don't see the crash notice any longer. Here's the debs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1aQdnxKM42-khan8wwtMpkNBC_aE_M0MT confirmed it does not crash, but received this message. Should not affect a standard installation. I am seeing the same er...

Re: MX-18.1: Simple (GUI-based) tool for merging vCard ("VCF") files?
@spanizdogs: Hi Joe, Its a while ago i visit the forum, to see your reaction. Thanks for adding the info. :puppy: You're welcome. Bottom line would be that it would make sense to (at least) have vcardtools available in the MX Test Repo - at least until some GUI solution is available. Maybe you'd lik...

[SOLVED] Notification of new post, but post not visible
@all: I can see in "Notifications" that on April 16th, 2020, at 6:27 AM a user named "Fluffyone" responded to my original posting headed "How I got a bricked Fairphone 2 back to life, using MX-16.1" (https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=43231&p=425984)...

@galen: of note: jisti desktop (...) 2.11 will run and it can access sip accounts: iptel, sip2sip.info linphone etc... That's great news! Saw your success story here, too: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=51772&p=517712. Jitsi didn't work for me with MX-16 (https://forum.mxlinu...

Re: Jitsi
@asqwerth: I went to check it out. The Jitsi package is to make yourself the HOST/SERVER of your own video conferencing hub. But the instructions to set it up are not straightforward. (...) Original poster says he wants to use the Jitsi "app" which would be Jitsi Desktop . Hence to my unde...

[SOLVED] "Line-interactive" UPS: Sufficient for e.g. printer, photocopier, router?
@all: A colleague of mine wants to sell his Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to me. I rarely get any power outages, but the device also offers multi-device protection against surges due to lightnings, plus device protection against under-frequency (don't know how important that is), so I am thinki...

Re: MX-17.1/MX-18.1 package request: "bluez-alsa" (also known as BlueALSA)
@jeffreyC: It has been 'Debianized' here by the RaspberryPi people: https://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/b/bluealsa/ Thanks for the link! @Stevo: Maybe you repo guys see a chance of providing us with a Christmas present by compiling a test package for MX-17.1/MX-18.1 ?
