Do you have on-board sound and a sound card? Maybe FireFox has picked the one you don't usually use. You could check with the MX Select Sound app.

What do you see when you open the mixer from panel and look at Playback streams? Is Firefox there and showing sound?

In the meantime, as a trial I translated "MX Welcome" on the top of the desktop as an attached text file.

It might be more important to translate desktop interfaces (which I mean menus in tool-bar, welcome menus etc.) rather than the MX-19 Users Manual which is beyond 150 pages. I am not sure I could help MX Japanese translation much, but a little would be possible if you attach those here in foo.txt f...

What happened afterwards? Did your team recover all of Japanese translations done by the mentioned translator, or reviewed his translations and then revert some parts? About half of the removed translations for language code "ja" were re-instituted by the Transifex user who removed them. ...
