Re: LibreOffice: Text on an Arc
Thanks everyone! I've followed the same directions in LibreOffice that you posted, Gabriel_M . But I either did it wrong multiple times or it just doesn't work. I've given up trying any more with LO. Tomorrow after school I will try Inkscape and maybe Scribus as well, and I'll mark it "solved&q...

[SOLVED] LibreOffice: Text on an Arc
I just spent the last two hours trying to type some text - in a specific font - along a curved line. I searched, read articles, watched videos, and tried every single step suggested in every single article and video. And I've concluded that it can't be done in Libreoffice without an advanced degree ...

Re: Unleash the power of PDF4QT (open source PDF editor)
I still use Xournal for annotating pdfs. The only annoyance is that Xournal wants to save it as a "xdj" file... so I use the print-to-file feature to save the output to a new pdf.

Re: 1st install of MX
I was a major Xubuntu fanboy for a couple of years! I got soured on it when their company started trying to lock users into their app store and stuff. I think you'll find MX to be like "Xubuntu done right."

Re: The Story of MX Linux - nice and brief. [Solved]
I never gave a darn about boot times and I don't understand why it's so important to people. Turn it on, go to the kitchen grab a cup of coffee and by the time you get back to the desk, it's ready.

Re: Why I keep coming back to MX and Antix
I left to distro-hop ONCE , because some of my friends were bragging about their own favorites and I needed to see what all the fuss was about (Mint Xfce and Linux Lite). But I returned pretty quickly to my rock-solid daily driver, MX (and antiX on an old beater). I value simplicity and stability ab...

Re: which one is the fastest web browser on linux?
+1 for Seamonkey! Not for nostalgia, but because it's simple and awesome. It does what both Firefox and Thunderbird do, yet with thousands fewer lines of code than Firefox by itself. I think it ought to be the default browser for "lightweight" Linux distros.
