Re: Non Debian Package list
I wish we could see, for each item: -- date added to MX repo, -- filesize of the debfile(s) Since the default method of using a repository is with a package manager such as apt-get / aptitude / Synaptic, all of which have ways to view the date & filesize, this never really came up. The server d...

Re: Non Debian Package list
Here is a list of what's available in the test repo. http://main.mepis-deb.org/MX15TestPackages.html Is the content on that page populated automatically (from parsing packagefiles) or edited manually? It's populated automatically by parsing the package files with a perl script every night. Are any ...

Re: This should be fun. Share your alias collection. :)
The only aliases I add are the ssh commands I use to connect to my various servers, both local & remote. They are all similar to this one:
alias music='ssh -Y musicbox@192.168.1.111'
alias music='ssh -Y musicbox@192.168.1.111'

Re: No Wifi Connection
Try connecting with Ceni (In the control panel's network tab).
I couldn't get WICD to connect with my Realtek 8188 wireless dongle but Ceni did the trick.

Re: minimized applications disappear
For XFCE you need to add Window Buttons to your panel in order to show running applications. You can adjust its config in Panel Preferences.

Re: minimized applications disappear
Since you are running antiX, it would help to know which version, and which desktop manager you have selected, since antiX comes with several and the answer may be different (for example) for Icewm than it is for Fluxbox.

Re: Fritzing 0.9.2b
If this capture is from manually running sudo dpkg -i fritzing_0.9.2b+dfsg-4mx150+1_amd64.deb then you just need to sudo apt-get install -f to install those dependencies. dpkg doesn't automatically install dependencies. If you had clicked on them in a file manager it would have used gdebi instead, w...

Re: Hello, HP Printer is recognized but it is not printing, please see the reports, thanks
I think I know what's wrong. The day after that snapshot you installed was created we discovered a problem the hplip 3.16.3 version that was in the Testing repository at that time. Apparently, that bad package was installed on the iso. Since your printer has been supported for many years and doesn't...

In my experience, the most common cause of this type of failure is the automatic CUPS printer detection.
Open the CUPS interface and remove the printer. Then open the HP Device manager and install it.
