Re: Network manager doesn't work correctly after testing cen
Yes we should, but you couldn't get the install to finish in your chroot when you tried during the alpha 2 cycle. The -dkms package does an update-initramfs that I think was the issue.

Re: Network manager doesn't work correctly after testing cen
I'm glad it worked. I need that driver for my Lenovo which is why it's in the default repos.
I didn't realize you had a wired connection or I would have had you install that file with Synaptic. Since you were posting from Windows I assumed you would download the file in Windows.

Re: Network manager doesn't work correctly after testing cen
I did a little research and it looks like you need the broadcom-sta driver (aka the wl module) go to http://teharris.net/mepiscr/xfce/pool/main/b/broadcom-sta/ and download the broadcom-sta-dkms _6.30.223.141-1_all.deb file Boot into MX-14 and click on that file to install the driver. Reboot and the...

Re: minitube
I have smtube running in beta1 here. It wouldn't play at first, but then prompted for a Youtube config upgrade. When accepted it updated the config & it worked.

Re: minitube
I've put the newer smplayer / smtube in the M12 Testing CR. The current Minitube 2.0 works in M12 with phonon-backend-vlc & without gstreamer-ffmpeg, but in MX-14 that results in no sound. Same versions of the libav stuff, vlc, minitube & phonon. Vlc plays the link with sound if pointed ther...

Re: minitube
I'll have to try to build it that way. It looks possible.
But first I'll have to build phonon-backend-vlc because when wheezy-backports built the new vlc they didn't build the matching phonon-backend, so it's now been removed by that upgrade...

Re: vlc
There's a build of vlc, the same version as in the M12 CR but without the libsmbclient dependency, in the MX-14 CR. It depends on the libav-tools from wheezy backports. So if you haven't upgraded to that libav yet, apt-get install -t wheezy-backports libav-tools apt-get install -t mx vlc vlc-nox lib...
