Re: MX23 audio output
On Xfce (with i3) I just unchecked autostart Pipewire, installed Pulse, added that to start-up, rebooted and Viola! Worked like a dream.

No 're-use existing home folder' option
I've just tried installing mx-23 over an existing mx-21 install. I was hoping to keep my existing home folder as described per this link (https://mxlinux.org/migration/) but no such option appeared and the new installation completed without any such prompt (I've got the snapshot of my original insta...

Re: Fed up with non-rolling releases...
Thanks for the responses. Quickly, to answer some of the questions posed: - I haven't asked for support because I like to try and solve problems myself first. I created a snapshot of my system before upgrading and used this on a new SSD which I intend to use instead of the one I'm using now. I'll tr...

Fed up with non-rolling releases...
Well, as stated in the title, I'm quite fed up with non-rolling releases and having to basically start from scratch every 2 years years that Debian decides to upgrade. For context, I've been a Linux convert for the past 9-10 years I love 99.9% of what mx offers - the specific mx-tools such as snapsh...

Re: For MX 23
I'd love a simple 'install alongside' option like we get on Calamares.
Manual partitioning simply does my head in, and I've had to install Mint as a dual-boot on other people's computers despite not personally being able to recommend it because of its Ubuntu base.

Re: My volume doesnt seem to stay where I put it [Solved]
I had the same issue with Pulse audio. I fixed it by installing Google Chrome extension 'Disable Automatic Gain Control'.
Not the best solution maybe but it was driving me mad...If you're not using Chrome, I've no idea.

Re: Rofi - scripts, tips, themes, ideas
For what it's worth, you can also use dmenu scripts in rofi. If you replace every instance of 'dmenu' on the desired config with 'rofi -dmenu', rofi will run the script. DT did a vid on a this a week or so ago and it worked flawlessly for the scripts I experimented with: https://www.youtube.com/watc...
