Re: Beta Manual feedback

2.5.1 Detailed installation steps Somewhere there it should be mentioned that it's a good idea to update mx-installer from before installing MX, for example the feature to "save live desktop changes" that is referenced in the manual is not available in the installer that comes on the CD, b...

Re: drop-down terminal

MX doesn't bind F12 to open CD as far as I know and both Yakuake and Guake have F12 as the default key, I think it's wise to keep the same default key for the same function, it's bad for similar programs to each define a different hot key.

Re: drop-down terminal

I do like a drop-down terminal with a launcher, though. Maybe other folks do, too.
It does adds a small icon in the system tray, you could click on that.

Re: drop-down terminal

I like this so much that I am going to propose it as default for MX-15.
I agree, let's use though F12 because that's kind of standard for both yakuake and guake.

Re: drop-down terminal

Holly-molly! I am a heavy user of yakuake and now guake, I didn't know I have such a nice feature available by default in Xfce.

Re: mx-installer translations needed

I changed the default labels to "rootMX' and "homeMX" and made them non-translatable, root and home should probably not be translated.

Re: mx-installer translations needed

I'm not sure about that, that's the label that's added to the disk, so people would know if that's the partition created by MX-15 (or at least installed in 2015)

I can put any string there, when I asked for feedback nobody commented on that particular name...

Re: mx-snapshot now ready for translating

Trying to make it easier for them, they won't have to translate "respin".
