Re: Firefox 89?[SOLVED] [Solved]

By "theme" do you mean the Fluxbox style (I'm using bora_black)?

Anyway, thought I'd mention it in case this comes up for MX Fluxbox users. The Restart Fluxbox function also puts the FF 89 window back to normal, but only for that session, looks like. Interesting.

Re: Firefox 89?[SOLVED] [Solved]

I'm seeing a problem with FF89 in Fluxbox in Arch, similar to what's discussed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/ns3qrb/is_anyone_using_fluxbox_on_linux_the_new_updates/ I get no window buttons. The Firefox window isn't full screen like I want, and I see no way to move the window. I al...

Re: Lightweight music player?

I've played around with a bunch of music players. I ended up using VLC for some years, then switched to Audacious. Now mostly using DeaDBeeF. All on machines that have only 2 GB RAM (I still have 3 of them). I don't recall having any problems with any of the music players I've tried on those machine...

Re: Why is MX Linux so popular?

The project ranking page at DW might not mean a lot, either, but it paints a somewhat different picture: https://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=ranking

Re: Dedoimedo on MXPI

Yep. Dedoimedo can be very critical even when it's a distro he likes and uses. He does seem to like MX. Another example, latest review: https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/kubuntu-hirsute.html And he uses Kubuntu. By the way, I like Kubuntu, too, but like Dedoimedo I prefer to stick with the LTS rel...

So why should the dev team spend their limited time to try to cater to them?

Re: Dedoimedo on MXPI

I appreciate Dedoimedo's reviews, though. I kinda skim through to get to the parts that might be important to me. Whether he likes a distro or not, I can tell from his reviews if the distro might be useful to me. As for MXPI, I don't use it or any GUI package manager, but MXPI isn't why I keep MX on...

Re: Dedoimedo on MXPI

He wants a "store". MXPI is not a "store". Therefore, MXPI suxs. Yeah, nothing short of a fancy "store" was gonna please Dedoimedo. He wants to see that sort of thing. Me, I'd be kinda disappointed to see something like that in MX Linux; but maybe that's the direction ...

Re: The amazing music thread

One of my favorites, the "All That Jazz" show on KUNM radio, M-F, 12 noon to 1:30 pm local time. If I can't listen to it over-the-air, I replay it from the two-week archives at https://www.kunm.org/. I'm playing Thursday afternoon's show right now.

I agree about keeping Firefox. Adrian, I had never tried Brave before I saw your post. I installed it and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Thanks for mentioning it!
