If you are exceptionally eager for what they offer, flatpaks work. So do appimages. Snaps require systemd and for some of us that's a problem. Having said that, if the *buntu applications are critical, why not just use a *buntu base distro? I'm just curious... :bagoverhead:

On VBox it happens when you try to share a folder between the Virtual Machine (client) and the host (that happens 100% of the time until fixed.)

Perhaps you should simply install the version of vim you wish to use. :happy: I use NeoVim myself and emacs (I know it's not a vim variant but emacs hurts my head less....) :needcoffee: As for uninstall... do what makes you happiest. :eek:

I only use VirtualBox... but their simiar message means your user is not included in the VBox group. Perhaps there is such a thing for VMware. You should also try getting a response from the folks on VMware. They are probably smarter about such things.
