Just solved it by installing a Sound Blaster that I had lying around.

So, same situation again...
I installed the 32-bit version and again, no GRUB installed.
Stuck at 95% again. I ran the boot repair too but it did nothing.

Thanks for the answers. I had a Pentium 4 CPU but that's over now. I have another PC, with a P4 again, and I'll try to install MX on that one. Hope everything goes OK. I'm trying to transform an old computer into a PC on which my father can listen to some songs on YT, that's all. If I need your help...

As I understand it, it must be a BIOS mb.
I set the boot rescue to fix MBR but again nothing.
Thank you for the help. It seems that after 16 years in Linux systems I still know one thing: that I know nothing.

Using the LiveUSB Boot Menu -> Grub-Menu -> Boot Rescue Menu. I selected "find Grub-boot loader" or "Grub.cfg menu" but nothing happened. The second option returned "no GRUB menu found". I have already tried repairing the GRUB via the tool in the settings but it did not...
