Re: LibreOffice 6.2 announced with nice enhancements!

How does this new LO handle macros?

I got a .doc from my publisher earlier and LO (current standard installed version) immediately started complaining about some functionality and turning it off and all that jazz. Hence.

Not changing my LO around yet, I have too much riding on the thing right now.

Re: How to remove non-free packages faster? [Solved]

Wow.. just checked that for kicks.. the debian one will then remove all nvidia driver stuff, lots of firmware from the MX repo.

I wonder why one would want to remove all that.. but hey.. :)

Re: FYI: Orage background is always opaque

My panel is fully translucent ;) I use only one wallpaper. Changing it around all the time is annoying to me (if I want a changing picture near me I'll get a digital photo frame ;) ). And yep, I use the events and stuff thing, a simple .ics file (IIRC) is imported. So.. for me it is a perfect match....

Re: FYI: Orage background is always opaque

Yeah, it is old news, it's been bugging me ever since I started using it, which was even before MX put it in their panel by default.

But I just match the background color, which is easy enough with the color picker, and that's that.

Re: Reliability tool for Linux?

All you need to do, is save the conky code I posted as .conkyrc and put it in /home/username/ Then start like so: conky -c /home/username/.conkyrc & Terminal will keep showing, but you can close it, the conky will simply restart. The only way -I- know how to stop it is killall -9 conky  I am ...

Re: Reduce locales so update speeds up!

As su enter:

Code: Select all

dpkg-reconfigure locales
uncheck all that you don't want and choose a default.

You only have to do this once on the install and that's that. Upgrades and stuff don't go through endless locales then. Mine just went with only the English and Dutch language locales getting upgraded.
