Yeah I do use the Emerald Themes. They seem to affect the the Window Borders and buttons but I'm not sure they affect the interior buttons like on the Boot Options menu. I'm not totally sure what affects what. I guess I will do some trial and error. One more thing is the Boot Options screen a GTK 2...

do not become a major distro (I'm not telling anybody... ;) )
small is better if you're not trying to make money or fame

Re: How do increase the size of the icons in the Windows Buttons in the Panel?

I spoke too soon, xrandr amplification makes text blurry on many web pages. So back to default, which is 1.0x1.0 I assume. Yes. Too bad it did not work for you. gtkrc settings beyond my ken. I have used the method that wulf mentioned scaling individual icons but they can get blurry as well if they ...

Re: How do increase the size of the icons in the Windows Buttons in the Panel?

It may be the case that it is not to your satisfaction. But you can fine tune it by adjusting those parameters. Quick and dirty method is in Settings>Display choosing a different resolution but not the fine tuning you get with xrandr.

Re: How do increase the size of the icons in the Windows Buttons in the Panel?

You could also try using xrandr which will change the size of the whole display. In terminal xrandr --output VGA-1 --scale 1.2x1.2 The 1.2x1.2 would scale up by 20% Of course those numbers could be changed to other parameters. Your monitor may have a different ID than VGA-1. Use xrandr --query in te...

Re: How do increase the size of the icons in the Windows Buttons in the Panel?

For the "little widgets" in the Notification area, you should see a small right pointing arrow at the right of the panel. Right clicking on it brings up a dialog from which you pick 'Properties". You can change the icon size in the resulting window. Another way is to right click the panel and choose...
