Re: MX18b1x64 Boot Options change not sticking?

Before you do that can you please show me the menuentry lines from /boot/grub/grub.conf the ones that contain the kernels that you tried to set as default? In my MX17 it looks like this: menuentry 'MX 17 Horizon' --class mx --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os $menuentry_id_option 'gnulinux-simp...

Re: MX18b1x64 Boot Options change not sticking?

What version of mx-boot-options? What is the GRUB-DEFAULT= line in /etc/default/grub (try with one kernel and give me that line, try with another and give me again that line)

Re: debiandog's quickremaster for mx-linux

Yep, earliest mention of lz4 in the forum was a topic started by @bled That's correct. I didn't know at ...

Re: MX-18 beta 1 feedback

Quick access to MX User Manual is a standout feature. IIRC, what tripped me up while wearing my "noob user" tester hat: When MXUM is launched from the welcome dialog, the welcome dialog autohides (and no taskbar item for it). Please consider using nohup or disown in the Welcome--}MXUM launchstring,...
