Thanks dolphin_oracle,
If I should need to have an MX running in an external USB drive, what would be the application to do that?
Regards

mx-live-usb-maker is the new gui.

Re: snapshots with nvidia

you should be able to, but they're might be a couple of gotchas. Your particular graphics may require an xorg.conf file, which is exempted from the snapshots by default. and because the blacklist file under /etc/modprobe.d IS included in the snapshot, your system ends up not loading any X graphics d...

remove mx-live-usb-gui, its not longer maintained.

this is like the 3 or 4th time I've seen this error. that gui shouldn't be installed anywhere I don't think.

Re: Flatpack apps

try installing libgl1-nvidia-glx:i386 from debian backports. That has to match the 64-bit version, but stretch-backports (and now our test repo) has 390.77 instead of 390.67, so the 64-bit version should be updated first. This is assuming the Nvidia driver was installed from when 390.67 in backport...

Sorry to be so dense. :( no worries, it can be tricky. there is only 1 /etc/skel. its a directory. the contents of /etc/skel are anything yo...

Re: Flatpack apps

ie steam: steam is running OK for me from the flatpak. I have all intel hardware.

you could try running from the command line...maybe we will see some sort of error.

Code: Select all

flatpak run com.valvesoftware.Steam
its possible that perhaps you are missing some other library or something.

Re: Help needed to create a custom install set using Horizon (17.1)

any settings that are in your home folder need to be sync'd back to /etc/skel/ , which contains all the default user settings and files for a user's home folder. after that, mx-snapshot is going to be what you want. it should make a new iso from whatever live system is running, including any root pe...

When you went uefi dI'd windows boot? Gpt drives do have a protected mbr area, or at least they are supposed to....
