Re: M12 11.9.92

Thanks Rich - for checking the code. Still amuses me (over last 12 months or so) when I've seen thread after thread pop up regarding Windows and how bad it is. From a reasonably hard-core Linux user - the step back into "Windows world" actually wasn't too bad - for this kid anyway. Install...

Re: M12 11.9.92

This doesn't have anything to do with the beta, but I was trying to set up konsole and there was a post sometime a go by Brooko, I think, that shows you how to make the text red when you change from normal user to su. Tried to search the forums, but I'm coming up with a blank. I thought it was in t...

Re: New Forum Comments

Using chrome. They appear (very faint for me) at 119%, but disappear at 143% - presets using ctrl + scroll. In opera they do not appear. In firefox they appear and are very visible.

Re: New Forum Comments

Rich / Karen Found something that may be worth looking into. I'm not good with scripts - but could be the answer to the "most recent posts" issue http://softinquiry.com/latest-posts-standalone-script-for-phpbb3-and-phpbb2.html Is it any help? @ tpcug2005 Perhaps replace the long line of mo...

Re: New Forum Comments

Not a flame - just an observation. This last posts sounds very typical of the usual 'have used kde4 for an hour and hate it' sort of knee jerk reaction. Suggest you use the new forum for a week - then post. Using it for a couple of days simply isn't enough time. If there is one thing I absolutely lo...

Re: New Forum Comments

Edit all 3000 plus members or 600 plus active members! Big task. I believe that data is available in a copy of VB that Karen has. Not sure if it is in a concise usable format, however. No hurry - Karen's aware and we'll have a look at the old VB when she's had a break. I expect the 600 active membe...

Re: New Forum Comments

You mean the points already accumulated? I think not. User rep is implemented, under your Avatar, but we are all starting from 0 Yep - that's what I meant. Is there a way to bring the old rep in? Like I said, I don't mind editing members individually. I do think it is important. I just need the data.

Re: New Forum Comments

Karen, Rich, Jerry - congrats - it looks great. Only other thing I see still missing that we talked about was user rep. As discussed, I see this as far more important than post count (I used rep when I first joined MEPIS Community to decide whose advice I should be following - especially when you ge...

Kerry I just posted in reply to the other thread on digikam, and I'll reiterate here. It seems you are the only one experiencing the issues you raised. KDE4 is not perfect, but I'd rate it on par, if not better now, than KDE3. I download photos direct by USB cable from the camera (Kodak) using digik...
