No Surprises there - the MX-Linux system is still right up there.

it's still one of the few Linux Distro's that will still run on older re-furnished PCs, too.

Yeah - Brasero is better & does work quite well.
another one is K3b that is also quite good.
you can install either, as both have an small dependency list,
and thus be installed into your exiting desktop environment.
