Re: Downloading deb packages & dependencies without installing
Hi, I've had good luck with this script if the package is not already installed on the system and I need an offline portable way to install all dependencies on another machine... As with all external scripts USE CAUTION! Note I'm posting the script itself because I can't seem to locate the original ...

Re: Qjackctl freezes when shutting down, have to force kill processes [Solved]
Hi, Yes, you are correct with the ALSA backend Ardour has 'claimed' the Audio device exclusively.. I find it amusing (not in any right or wrong way) the difference in approach on this. In my Studio when I'm recording I want no distractions and nothing between the DAW and the Audio hardware, I'm focu...

Re: Pipewire 1.04 MX Test Repo
Hi, It seems fine here and all the usual PipeWire utilities seem to report it working normally, really the biggest benefit to 1.0.4 was better ffado support for old FireWire Audio interfaces, I don't think there would be much in the way of noticeable differences over 1.0.0 for people not using FireW...

Re: Proposed updated AV Linux 23.2 ISO - Improvements?
pburyk To follow up... I finally did get around to downloading and installing Mixbus10 Pro, for me right-clicking on the downloaded Mixbus compressed file gave me an option to extract and from there simply double clicking opened the '.run' file and terminal window to install, hopefully that works f...

Re: What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?
AVLinux wrote-> but what really killed it for me was that it doesn't work well at all... in fact it's built-in Display scaling is completely broken with 4K monitors and if you scale it up with xrandr (MX tweak) it looks blurry and loses detail so I had enough. Glen, does this do anything (help) htt...

Re: What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?

Your video is a live saver to even use E and i still fight with it.So i had wondered can you switch to xfce.Got ardour working but no idea how to use the jack stuff.the panel right side if ...

Re: What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?
Hi, thanks folks for the kind words.. This is all just some future planning thoughts and ideas, I'm not convinced there isn't a place for AVL as it is now in the future, I'm just wondering if it might be a good plan B or a good alternative for folks who want a tuned system but perhaps don't like Enl...

Re: About to give-up and move to uBunto Studio
Hi, To clarify AVL uses the MX installer without any alterations.. In general the "wheels and chassis" are MX and Debian. The primary differences are using the Liquorix kernel by default, the use of Enlightenment Desktop Environment (new), several performance and Audio-centred configuratio...

Re: What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?
Would it be similar to what you can get with fluxbox? XFCE/KDE users can install either the standard fluxbox setup (like what you get with other distro's) or the mx-fluxbox install which includes all the customization added to the standard install. Maybe have it as an AVL meta package so to speak t...
