Re: After installing Nvidia driver through MX tools it will only boot to a blinking cursor

You can purge the nvidia driver and go back to nouveau by running sudo ddm-mx -p nvidia in the console. Then you can post your Quick System Info, search the forum, read the manual and wiki articles about nvidia driver troubleshooting, and better prepare yourself to try and reinstall it again later....

Re: After installing Nvidia driver through MX tools it will only boot to a blinking cursor

I'm able to get back into a gui now (after deleting that filled) but the settings seem way off.

Is there any way of getting back to the original video driver now? I think it was called "nouveau"?

After installing Nvidia driver through MX tools it will only boot to a blinking cursor

From there I logged in with cntrl+alt+f1 and removed /etc/X11/xorg.conf based on another (old) thread but still nothing.

Can this be fixed or am I hosed?

Thanks for any help!

Broadcastify on my MXLinux

So I wanted to listen in on the FDNY due to the blackout in NYC happening now. HTML5 didn't work for some reason and I didn't see anything else in the list that should work, so I chose Winamp to see what would happen, and that opened up another GUI which gave me the option to choose VLC Media Player...

Re: Are you a cook?

Something I learned as a cook in the Marines was a way to rescue spaghetti from too much seasoning, (which happened a lot because many cooks couldn't or wouldn't follow the recipe). Blend 1/4cup of sugar and 1cup of water, and heat on burner until sugar is dissolved. Then gradually stir into sauce ...

Re: Are you a cook?

I made a big pot of red beans (for red beans and rice) yesterday afternoon and evening. I got a late start on my cooking because I was doing some laundry in the morning. This is the first time I made this traditional Creole Monday dinner* dish from New Orleans, Louisiana (because Mondays were washi...

Re: Are you a cook?

I'm making chicken parm today. It's really an easy dish and darn near impossible to mess up. I can get chicken breasts at 1.99/lb and the rest of the ingredients can be had cheaply also. Makes fantastic left over sandwiches.
