Mine says 1 even without me making any of the uncommenting.

It gives a return of 1 before I even got started making any changes

Is MX 18.3 vulnerable to this? Im still on it

Thank you for all the input. I will install it to a second partition first. So that means bye-bye Ubuntu-Gnome on partition 2. But thats okay i only booted into that for troubleshooting purposes

I just found out about the new version. But for maximum stability should I wait until all the kinks have been worked out?

Back when I was an Ubuntu-Gnome user I would wait at least 3 months before doing the upgrade.
