Installed and working well on my Devuan box, but again can see no need for it in MX You can use the official Etcher Debian repository to install it on Debian and Ubuntu based Linux distributions using following commands. $ echo "deb https://deb.etcher.io stable etcher" | sudo tee /etc/apt/...

Short answer it always best to unmount the usb especially as MX has made it easy with a usb eject button in the notification area.

The D in Systemd is for Directories: Poettering says his creation will phone /home in future.
Systemd-managed home folders are secure, portable, extensible... albeit with broken SSH login

You can stop the keyring nonsense by editing the launcher command to read “%U --password-store=basic” at the end (no quote marks).

Not really. It just takes staying within the default repositories. And if using MXPI using the MX test repo for individual packages.
