Re: Firefox 64.0 is a slugg. [solved]

I think, for the average Joe, unwanted advertising is probably the biggest "plague" of the internet, closely followed by the biggest scourge of unethical hacking. I guess choice of browsers is a bit like choice of cars. We all like to get from A to B, we all exercise choice in how we do that, and it...

Re: samba entry point

It would be prudent for folk that don't use remote desktop or file sharing to block anything coming in or going out on port 3389 and 3389 (V6).

Re: Choosing hardware to run Linux

I'd certainly encourage anyone who has the time and/or inclination, to give self building a go. By shopping around, it's possible to find top quality components and come-in considerably under budget when compared to the cost of a similar spec machine from well known brands. Re: 4K Display at 30hz

From the MX menuGoto>all settings>display. ..You should be able to set the resolution and Hz from there. Re: Panel in full screen

Thanks Redacted. I don't know if it would require a java script for the browser or a script for xfce panel to make it work as I want, but it seems to be working for PondLife, above, so I'm stumped.

Re: Panel in full screen

Re: Panel in full screen #4 Post by PondLife » 09 Nov 2018, 19:38 Have tried this with Waterfox full screen and both Intelligently and Always hide set and they work OK for me. Tried messing around with the panel settings but afraid I cannot replicate what you are seeing. MX-17.1_x64 | i3-4360T | 4G...
