Re: Random logouts

Yup!...Same here. Totally random. It can be whilst in the middle of something or when the pc is idle, sudden flash of a black screen and then presented with a login screen. I always choose automatic login, so I never normally see that screen at boot-up. It's infrequent, but it has been happening for...

Re: Best practices with SSD in 2019

Having read the article you linked to, I agree. The suggestion I made above is i...

You could set a lower value swappiness in /etc/sysctl.conf Default is 60 If you are using a Mozilla based browser, these are just a couple of changes you can make to cut down on writes to the ssd by modifying the following about:config settings > brow...

Re: Firefox encore!

As a temporary work-around, you might try the following setting in about:config > browser.backspace_action ...set to 0 [keyboard backspace now selects previous page] [default is 2] Hopefully, this ought to allow you to traverse pages until a solution is found to the arrow problem you are experiencin...

Re: Warning! Stacer is Malware!

I had Stacer running a while back and to be honest I had no problem with it at all, and it uninstalled cleanly for me. If I discover something that gets my curiosity and it's not in the repo's, I'll always go to Github and download from there if I decide I trust it. At least that way, you have the o...

Re: How many people using Windows 10 in here?

The Server (it's actually 2016, not 2012) is because I'm working on my Server 2016 MCSA and I downloaded the IS...
