Re: XFCE Panel on LXDE?

You can run the xfce panel if you want too. Thanks! I was able to get it running but could not use the compositing on the panel without the Window manager for Xfce. I did install Compton, but guess it does not cross over to the panel. A small detail, but was wondering if it is possible to use the c...

Re: XFCE Panel on LXDE?

Not sure that either of those will work. You might try loading wmclockmon and see if that fits your needs. You can find it in the MX Package Installer, enabled repos tab - search for alarm. I looked at the manual for this application and it does not appear to have "pause, resume" feature ...

XFCE Panel on LXDE?

Hi-

Is it possible to install the XFCE panel on LXDE?

Or is it possible to easily configure the Xfce4 Timer to work on the LXDE panel?

Thanks.

Re: Help with MX23 XFCE Live-persistence Remaster Space Error

Hi fehlix -

Thank you for your quick reply and the "rollback" information!

Just removing:

rootfs.old
linuxfs.old

Worked!

You have, again, resolved the problem.

Thank you!!

Re: MX-23 Kernel Version Updates

"if you removed the linux-image-amd64 and linux-headers-amd64 metapackages, you will most likely not get any updates to the 6.1 kernel" Thank you. I think I understand. By "updates" - Do you just mean no updates (upgrades) to the next "minor revision level" (3rd number ...

Re: MX-23 Kernel Version Updates

D.O.- Thanks for clarifying - glad to know it went correctly. I don't know much about kernels but was hoping you could tell me if I have disabled anything, that will prevent the current kernel (6.1.0-12-amd64) from receiving security updates as the original release kernel (6.1.0-10-amd64) would have...
