Re: KDE theme wipes user's files using 'rm -rf'

So better make sure you have backups that are not normally mounted or even connected to your machine. In my opinion that is the pure definition of a backup. In all other cases it is merely a copy of your data. Many might roll their eyes when they read about the 3-2-1 backup method and its modern va...

Re: KDE theme wipes user's files using 'rm -rf'

Ouch! This reminds me of Snaps. 9_9 Seems like KDE is not secure if this can happen. This is one thing I find very disturbing in the Linux community. Some don't secure their repositories and or websites then always push the blame onto the end-user that they should have back ups when they are t...

Re: How to move Application Menu

Yes, there is. Right click on the panel where nothing is or on the Whisker menu > select Panel Preferences > select Items tab > select the Whisker menu and move it by left clicking on the arrows on the right until you get it to where you want it.

I never heard of AVIF. I never liked gThumb and Nomacs. I use Mirage image viewer instead. Have you tried Mirage to see if it works for you?

@Mauser wrote: Yes it does make sense because a power surge from your now dead speakers could easily have killed your sound card. It sounds to me like you dodged a bullet. There is one thing wrong with you assumption. It's impossible for those speakers to experience any power surge. I have an APC-1...

Re: Happy 10th Year Anniversary--a user thread

Happy Birthday MX Linux and many more. I remember seeing a video when I was using Manjaro years ago and I like what I saw. I had a lot of trouble with Manjaro and the support in the Manjaro forums was completely non existence along with being very nasty. I tried asking in the Arch forums for help th...

Re: No sound. [Solved]

You could try to email and get a deal done that it be sent via the post. We do that here to get stuff exchanged. Microcenter is strictly retail and don't use the mail. I would have to go there in person. Between the electricity going out last night due to very high winds and gross incompetence of P...

Yes, and the store is over 80 miles away from me plus tolls. https://www.microcenter.com/?storeid=061
Creative Labs makes garbage now thanks to where they are made.
All this unnecessary aggravation. :frown:

Re: No sound. [Solved]

First, you should use Repo Manager in MX Tools to enable the AHS repo and then run any updates the come forth --> there's bound to be quite a few. Is the problem recurring? Second, you should use MXPI to install a Liquorix kernel, use Boot Options to ensure that this new kernel is the default boot ...
