Thanks for the above but i like to leave my machine running all day but prefer the screen to lock for security reasons when i leave it.
Any other thoughts please??

Is installer going to format my data drives?

I am installing MX21.
However, when i got to the partitioning part i saw this the attached.
This looks as if the installer wants to format my data in drives "mdat" & "save".

Thanks agnivo007 ... your post empowered me to just go for it.
Rather than softlinks i decided to "byte" (pun on dig solution intended) the bullet & put the paths i wanted in fstab.

And it worked fine.
