[solved] drm_kms_helper, wait for flip; shutdown/reboot issues
Re: drm_kms_helper, wait for flip; shutdown/reboot issues
Just to confirm it booted up as normal. Changing grub theme needed the 'remember last boot' option re-selected, and I'd not noticed that. About the original shutdown lock; yes, the 5 updates fixed it, but don't know what caused it, so probably best to do a clean snapshot install later, to make sure don't carry anything over into future snapshots. Librewolf is running perfectly, so I don't think it is that update.

Re: drm_kms_helper, wait for flip; shutdown/reboot issues
usually these kind of weird behaviors are due to an incomplete update, and apt will try to configure anything not already configured with the next update, so it is possible the update fixed itself.
so please mark this thread as solved.

Re: drm_kms_helper, wait for flip; shutdown/reboot issues
So the 5 updates I did after the drm_kms_helper issue began worked because they resolved the earlier librewolf update from the repo. Good to know what caused the issue, and thanks for clarifying.
