Yes, sdb is what I am logged in to.
Ok fstab is a bit "Disk manager" tuned up :eek:
Now efi partition is missing.
Let's be sure that /dev/sdb1 is realy you'r used booted efi partion

Code: Select all

ls -l /media/sdb1_/EFI/*/grubx64.efi
and

Code: Select all

ls -l /boot/grub/x86_64-efi/*.efi
The last one is probably empty.
EDIT: corrected to "/media/sdb1_"

The mistake is here:

Code: Select all

#Entry for /dev/sda1 :
UUID=49D8-9F3B	/media/sdb1	vfat	noauto,uid=1000,gid=users,dmask=002,fmask=113,users	0	0
...
#Entry for /dev/sdb1 :
UUID=B94A-8813	/media/sdb1_	vfat	defaults,utf8,umask=0	0	2
...

Yes this was a test :p

missed /media/sdb1_ with trailing underscore

OK, look like /dev/sdb1 is your efi:
Now let's fix it:
First we do an unmount of /dev/sdb1

Code: Select all

sudo umount /dev/sdb1
Now we change within /etc/fstab this:

Code: Select all

#Entry for /dev/sdb1 :
UUID=B94A-8813	/media/sdb1_	vfat	defaults,utf8,umask=0	0	2
to

Code: Select all

#Entry for /dev/sdb1  :
UUID=B94A-8813	/boot/efi	vfat	defaults   	0	2
so that fstab look like:

Code: Select all

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>

#Entry for /dev/sdb1  :
UUID=B94A-8813	/boot/efi        vfat    defaults        0  2

#Entry for /dev/sdb3 :
UUID=2cd25b19-ff2f-4e5b-a318-7b3a66ef7fdd	/	ext4	defaults,relatime	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sda1 :
UUID=49D8-9F3B	/media/sdb1	vfat	noauto,uid=1000,gid=users,dmask=002,fmask=113,users	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sdc1 :
UUID=7B34-0958	/media/sdd1	vfat	noauto,uid=1000,gid=users,dmask=002,fmask=113,users	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sdc5 :
UUID=743cb0a6-bfd9-4b85-84e5-8bf308526733	/media/MX17r_root_b3	ext4	noauto,exec,users	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sdb5 :
UUID=f75c7cf4-cbc6-4219-97e5-209ce987b31a	/media/Data	ext4	defaults,users	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sdc3 :
UUID=184c55f9-094f-40b6-85f2-07a47f4e8fb2	/media/data_SSD	ext4	exec,users	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sdc6 :
UUID=2c6e39d0-7a2b-46a0-86e6-100ad10ed19d	/media/rich/MX17_b3_home	ext4	noauto,exec,users	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sda2 :
UUID=57bc0658-9165-4bd4-9a45-af48cd55f522	/media/rootMX17	ext4	defaults	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sda3 :
UUID=13883c4e-e392-46dc-8d8a-fee954de89f0	/media/homeMX	ext4	defaults	0	0

#Entry for /dev/sdb2 :
UUID=e4e28545-996e-40a4-bc8c-5bde2d211d44	/home	ext4	defaults,exec	0	0
#Entry for /dev/sdb4 :
UUID=68cda3c4-0523-4add-ad69-3cdb75bd10a3	swap	swap	defaults	0	0
now we remount to /boot/efi:

Code: Select all

sudo mount -a
now let's finish the reconfigure of grub-pc

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install -f
and finally

Code: Select all

sudo grub-install
No typo's intended :crossfingers:

I got the delayed 46 item upgrade this afternoon through the Brasilian repo.
Dolphin_Oracle's video relieved the anxiety of making the upgrade. :)

Upgraded and all is well, again. :)
