We now have the 4.19-1 (4.19.0-8.1) Liquorix kernel in the test repo, which is based on the 4.19.8 and 4.19.9~rc vanilla kernel releases. Third-party drivers such as nvidia-driver might be a problem with this kernel, as we have not yet backported 390.87 to a MX 15 base, or even know if it's possible. in that case, you should be able to install those with sgfxi.

Changes include:
* switch to kernel v4.19 base
* merge 4.19.8
* merge 4.19.9-rc
* add muqss build fix for v4.19.7
* enable hierarchical group scheduling for bfq-sq + bfq-mq
* update version to 8.1

Now updated to 4.20-1 (44.20.0-3.1) in the test repo.

Please Note: The current Nvidia driver in our repos won't build on it, and it will need virtualbox 5.2.24 from the test repo, or virtualbox 6.0.2 from Oracle.

4.20.0-13.1-liquorix-amd64 (4.20-11-mx17+1) became available the other day and I tried it. It works perfectly.

Thanks for the report! Sometimes I forget to report an update, but we've been doing them once a week or so lately.

Thank you for your reply. Periodically I check the Package Installer within MX Tools and, opening the Test Repo, I search for < liquorix >. I always update my computer to the latest kernel version as it appears (generally one day after I see it). As I have MX Linux's default kernel also installed, I can boot up with it should the new version fail. But, so far, I have had no problems whatsoever with the new kernel versions. So I'll keep on checking and keep on installing. Thanks again.

I installed 4.20.0-14.1 liquorix-amd64 (4.20-12-mx17+1) (both headers and image) today (March 9, 2019). It works perfectly. Two questions: why mx17+1 when we are using mx18 (actually MX18.1)? And is 5.0.x coming soon? Thanks!

Well, this is the thread of for MX 15, anyway!

MX 17 and 18 share the same common Stretch base and the same MX repositories. So we build packages on a Stretch base so one package installs on both 17 and 18, and go for the lowest compatible version. All MX 17/18 backports are versioned mx17.
The same goes for MX 15 and 16 on their common Jessie base.

Liquorix just updated to 4.20-12 in the test repo, which provides 4.20.0-14.1 kernel packages, based on the 4.20.14 vanilla kernel.

We'll get 5.0 when upstream Liquorix packages it. Usually they have to wait a bit for their upstream developers, such as the MuQSS schedule patches, to make their code compatible with a new kernel release.
