It's a good time for me to update the Users Manual over the next few weeks.
--In general: the Manual aims to point to detailed technical material in the Wiki, and not repeat it
--NEW: Unless Devs disagree, I intend to add an Appendix for longer treatments of central topics such as the recent contribution on Persistence (edited). Feel free to make suggestions, but I'm not going to be writing new material myself.
--I will be collecting posts off the Forum, but people should feel free to cross post here
For people who want to deal directly through GitHub (pls don't drive me crazy!), the repo is here:
https://github.com/MX-Linux/mxum
I will upload the new Appendix later today.

Re: User Manual 21.2
I think the appendix needs a stronger disclaimer or explainer or something. While I appreciate thomasl's contribution, and I love the natural language explanations of the persistence modes, there are some notes in there that if included in the manual make it sound like a course of action recommended by the MX dev team rather than just thomasl's experience.

Re: User Manual 21.2
I am using MX Linux Users Manual v. 20220313
(MX-21.3_x64 Wildflower January 15 2023)
If I find something that maybe needs corrections for the next Manual version is this the place to post it.?
At the moment it is just a single thing about the Snapshot restore procedure I have bumped into.
Page 171 last line.
On my computer it didn't work but it did like a miracle with sudo
I got the tip here:
https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 43#p717143
I tested 'sudo minstall-launcher'
A great manual by the way, and thank you for all the work.
