Nvtop stands for NVidia TOP, a (h)top like task monitor for NVIDIA GPUs. It can handle multiple GPUs and print information about them in a htop familiar way.

I followed the guide to install the package(s) on MX 18.2 and all works fine. Would be nice to have this in the MX repo as well.

The latest version is in Debian testing, which usually makes it pretty easy to rebuilt for MX.
It's a little bitty program--it's just downloading 600 MB of Nvidia development stuff to build each version. Good thing the library has Gigabit internet now. Oh, wait, it's amd64 only, since nvidia-cuda-dev is also only for 64-bit. That will save some time.
