Synaptic Package Manager partly English/Dutch

#1 Post by MiVo »

I am new to this forum, I am from The Netherlands and so I have installed the Dutch language files, I only noticed that Synaptic Package manager is partly in Dutch and partly in English, any idea how I can get that fully in Dutch ?

It could depend on the translatability of the words that parts were not translated.

Have you got a screenshot?

I don't know for Synaptic and particularly Dutch but many apps are partially translated in French and it is not an MX concern as you have to directly contact the developpers of the application.

Heyyy.. that doesn't look right indeed. Those sentences should be translated. I know because I translated those ;)

Hopefully someone from the translations team will see this.

I would wait for someone of the translations team to chime in, if I were you.

I will move this topic there.

Just to let you know, unlike French, Dutch completion is about 98% (see this link) and it seems Preferences/Voorkeuren had not been reviewed yet.

that's the case and your suggestion is a good one
